Susan G Komen Program

The Northeast Texas Public Health District is the largest grant recipient from the Smith County affiliate of the Susan G Komen Program.

This is the 11th year of the “Breast Health and Screening Initiative”, which allows access to breast screening procedures for all women in East Texas, regardless of your ability to pay.

NET Health has two programs to provide screening services for women who are uninsured or underinsured.

During the previous year, the program funded 2,135 mammograms and 989 other breast screening services.

This project funds clinical services for breast screenings including mammograms for low-income women, at risk women, those under the age of 50, those who are unable to pay for follow up services after a mobile mammogram, or those who are symptomatic and thus not eligible for mobile services.

There are very simple steps in order to qualify:

Contact the Smith County Facility of choice to schedule breast health services.
