FUNCTION:
To work with Farmers’ Market Nutrition Program recipients at the weekly Farmers’ Market at WIC and at the assigned Saturday Farmers’ Market, assist WIC Program professionals by informing people in the community of Farmers’ Market at WIC Program benefits and services, and to provide clerical support as needed.

SCOPE:
Prepares and maintains FMNP booklet issuance logs every week according to FMNP guidelines.
Arranges, prepares for, and provides FMNP booklet issuance in the WIC offices and local markets associated with FMNP.
Prepares and maintains assigned FMNP reports.
Facilitates Farmers’ Market at WIC set-up and closure every week.
Assists the WIC site supervisor with other FMNP-related tasks.
Works along with WIC staff to ensure smooth operations of both WIC and FMNP.
Discusses FMNP and WIC with the public.

MAJOR TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Completes FMNP documentation as assigned.
Issues FMNP booklets in the WIC office.
Issues FMNP booklets at Saturday farmers’ market locations.
Promptly greets participants in a courteous manner.
Contacts participants to inform them of FMNP.
Helps with FMNP flow of services to ensure participants receive service in a timely fashion.
Facilitates set-up and take-dawn of FMNP booklet issuance operations at the Farmers’ Market at WIC and at the assigned farmers’ market association location.

TASK ASSIGNMENTS:
Set up designated area with needed supplies for FMNP booklet distribution.
Greets farmers at weekly markets and ensures outdoor WIC office space is ready for operations.
Submits reports to the FMNP coordinator according to program procedures and deadlines.
Maintains security and inventory control of FMNP booklets.
Issues FMNP booklets every week.
Ensures courteous and equitable treatment of all WIC participants.
Ensures compliance with FMNP rules and regulations.
Cleans market area after Farmers’ Market at WIC closes each week.
Helps with FMNP audit preparation as requested.
Other duties as assigned.


KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED TO PERFORM IN THIS POSITION:
Must have basic computer skills.
Has good communication skills both in person and on the phone.

EDUCATION:
High school or equivalent, plus one year experience in general office or heavy public contact position. Spanish speaking preferred.
