JOB SUMMARY:
Under the supervision of the Immunization/TB Program Director, provides administrative support for immunization clinical services. Performs clinic related data entry. Files and manages all clinic forms and documents. Processes all payments for immunization services.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
-60% - Registers clients for immunization services. Ensures all forms are completed accurately and legibly and collects payments. Manages client flow through the clinic.
-30% Performs immunization specific data entry into the daily client data system and the registry (ImmTrac). Files and manages all immunization clinic forms and documents according to established records management guidelines. Ensures an adequate supply of blank forms are on hand at all times.
-05% - Accurately processes and accounts for all payments according to established district policy and procedures.
-05% Performs other duties as assigned.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:
-Knowledge of computer word-processing software applications such as Microsoft Word Knowledge of laws, rules, and regulations which impact immunization programs Knowledge of immunization recommendations and requirements
-Skilled in utilizing TWICES software Skilled in utilizing ImmTrac software
-Ability to work with a team and prioritize duties
-Ability to explain complex information at an appropriate level for individuals and groups. Ability to interpret policies and to implement procedures.

EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE:
-High school diploma or GED required. Two (2) years' work experience in a health-related field preferred. Experience in making presentations on health-related topics preferred. Reliable transportation and current Texas driver's license required.

WORKING CONDITIONS:
-Observes assigned work hours unless other arrangements are made with supervisor and is punctual. Notifies supervisor in a timely manner (in advance) if must be late or absent. Accrues compensatory time only with advance approval of supervisor. Arranges annual and compensatory leave time in advance with supervisor.
-Is adaptable and flexible. Is willing to work flexible hours as workload demands to include occasional evenings and weekends. Is able to re-prioritize work as needed. Adapts to handle new and other phases of work when needed. Is receptive to new ideas and methods.
-Performs work independently without close supervision. Accepts responsibility for own actions. Completes work assignments in a timely fashion. Requests instruction, assistance, or support when necessary. Accepts direction offered by supervisor. Complies with supervisor's decisions.
-Functions as a team member. Performs his/her fair share of the team's workload. Willingly helps other staff members get tasks accomplished. Shows willingness and ability to work in harmony with others and does not let personal differences interfere with getting the job done. Maintains open communication with supervisor and other staff members. Contributes positively to staff morale.
-Takes advantages of opportunities for educational self-improvement both on and off duty. Identifies own educational needs and makes these known to supervisor. Is receptive to and follows through on recommendations made by supervisor for professional development.
-Offers suggestions to supervisor for increasing efficiency and for better meeting needs of clients, customers, and staff. Demonstrates willingness and ability to cooperatively solve problems with supervisor and co-workers.
-Treats all customer/client encounters with courtesy, tact, and professionalism, and without discrimination. Maintains strict client confidentiality.
-Keeps work area clean and neat and contributes to these qualities throughout the health district. Utilizes supplies in an efficient and cost-effective manner. Promptly notifies supervisor of problems or concerns regarding supplies and equipment.
-Maintains personal grooming and dress appropriate for job responsibilities and for contact with the public. Wears name/ID badge when involved with client/customer contact.
-May be exposed to communicable/infectious diseases.
-Must show proof of immunization in accordance with health district policy within 90 days of employment,
-Must be able to spend six to eight hours walking and standing and/or sitting. Must be able to lift 25 pounds to waist level and stretch to reach files.
