What is Double Up Food Bucks?

Double Up Food Bucks Texas (Double Up Texas) is a statewide nutrition incentive program led by Sustainable Food Center (SFC) that helps families stretch their SNAP The benefits of buying more fresh fruits and vegetables.

With over 100 participating farmers’ markets, farm stands, and grocery stores (and a growing network of regional partners in Brownsville, Dallas/Fort Worth, El Paso, and San Antonio), Double Up Texas is expanding access to healthy food.


Double Up Locations

Use Double Up Texas at farmers' markets, farm stands, and grocery stores across Texas for fresh fruits and veggies in season and year-round.

At farmers’ markets, you’ll get market bucks or coins to use with vendors. Double Up Food Bucks from farmers’ markets never expire.

Some stores give you a coupon to use that day or at your next visit, while at other stores, the discount is applied at checkout.

Use SNAP and Save

Double Up Texas allows SNAP-EBT and Lone Star cardholders to double the amount of fresh produce they bring home each time they shop.

With SNAP, shoppers are automatically enrolled, so there is no application and no extra paperwork. J
